lindsay - nashawtuc country club, concord, ma

Last weekend I got to spend with Lindsay and her family as she had her bat mitzvah at Congregation B'nai Torah in Sudbury. She is on the swim team, and her sister helped her make her tallis with a water theme.

Lindsay plays the guitar, so when she got introduced, she performed a guitar solo, how cool is that?

And what would a bat mitzvah celebration at Nashawtuc Country Club be without a friendly game of Coke Pepsi?

I love this one with Lindsay in the center of it all....

And who doesn't love little blue boxes from Tiffany?

This is Lindsay listening to a speech from her aunt, and then watching a slideshow her sister put together.

Congratulations Lindsay!

andrew - nashawtuc country club, concord, ma

Last weekend I spent with Andrew and his family documenting his bar mitzvah. His family is friends with David's family from a couple of weeks ago, and they were there as well. He had his Bar Mitzvah at the Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton.

I just love these moments between the parents and their children, you can just feel the pride oozing out of them.

Andrew breathing a sigh of relief after a huge reading.

We're not even going to talk about this...

Not such a fan of the wine...

Instead of a guest book, they had a Tree of Life quilt, and everyone got to sign a leaf that will be sewn on to the quilt.

His reception was at the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA. They had a hockey theme - Andrew's dad collected all the skates for the centerpieces. How cool - nice flowers, but not too girly. :)

Andrew and his little bro.

Everyone enjoying cocktail hour out on the deck.

Andrew also had A Touch of Class for the entertainment, and they were just as much fun as they were a couple weeks ago!

Andrew's mom and her sister watching a slideshow of Andrew on the big screen.

Mini-bike races...

So last time we had human hurdles, and here we have some crazy flipping -

Andrew's dad making the "Father-Son speech".

Congratulations Andrew!

david - nashawtuc country club, concord, ma

I spent last Saturday with David and his family. He had his Bar Mitzvah at the Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton.

His reception was at the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA. They had a Red Sox theme which was so cool.

The folks from A Touch of Class had the kids and adults alike out on the dance floor all night. There were a few of these shenanigans going on....

I love this shot of David, he started out the day pretty mild-mannered, but definitely switched into party mode -

And my absolute FAVORITE moment of the night was when all the adults got on the floor for a call & answer sing-a-long to Paradise by the Dashboard Light by Meatloaf. Can't you just hear it????

sam - gibbet hill, groton, ma

Last Saturday I got to spend some time with Sam and his family & friends. He did a great job at his Bar Mitzvah in Acton, and they had a super-fabulous party at the beautiful Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts.

I think this is such a beautiful, serene space....

Heading off to harrass the cows...

Sam had a ski-theme for his party, it totally fit with the ski-lodge feel of the barn! Everything looked snowy & wonderful.

The adults enjoyed their cocktail hour out on the porch with its brand-new permanent roof. How cool to have chandeliers outside?!!

They had a risotto station - yum.

Inside the folks from Siagel Productions had the kids moving - looks a lot like a mosh pit, no?

Ok, I know I'm a little food-obsessed, but how adorable are these intermezzos????

This was the insert in the invitation -

Sam's grandparents on the dance floor - you go Leila!

Sam's little niece called it quits around 10:30....

Apparently this is a tradition for the men in his family -

Congrats!!!

eli

I had another bar mitzvah last weekend, and Saturday it was Eli's turn! I wasn't there for the ceremony, but heard he did a fabulous job.

Something I thought was really nice was a basket Eli put together for the Pediatric Resource center for young patients of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He is a huge music fan, so he collected various iPod accessories for them, and will deliver the basket. My mom was a patient at Dana Farber, and they do such amazing work there.

Eli making his speech....

The whole family rockin' out to the Hokey Pokey - it might just be the single most under-rated group dance!

This little cutie partied all night long....she was in a different person's arms everytime I saw her!

Ok, Elly gave me a run for my money! She must have shot almost as much as I did! I give her full credit, she was shooting film.

By the way, if I weigh 20 pounds more the next time you see me, this is why........

Eli stepping in as videographer.....

Congrats Eli!

zoe

Last Saturday I got to photograph Zoe's bat mitzvah. She and her whole family were so much fun!

Zoe and her mom....

The very cool favors...

And how fabulous is this cake?

I like this shot - Zoe's brother is in the middle standing still attempting to judge "human musical chairs".

Their DJ was Doug Moleux and his team from Northeren Lights Entertainment. They had dancers teaching the kids choreographed dances for a dance-off. I'm probably dating myself, but it was just like a Beat It video!

Here is Zoe thinking very hard about her wish...

Congrats to Zoe!!!!!!
